We'd like to know what you've found difficult or hard to understand with the guides and documentation for WebAssembly Components.

In our quest to improve the component model guide, your feedback can help improve the guide and docs across the ecosystem.

Some ideas:

• What have you found difficult?
• Which languages are you most interested in?
• What use-cases need more tutorials/examples?

I commented this as bytecodealliance/wasmtime#6987 (comment) but really it's a docs issue:

• example-host doesn't work with example-host/add.wasm
• I am most interested in C and would like it to have an example

The relevant C/C++ section says

It is not yet possible to run a WebAssembly Component using the wasmtime C API. See wasmtime issue #6987 for more details.

But the linked issue is closed, and I was able to get a proof of concept wasmtime.h host to work. (After rebuilding tutorials/adder)
I would appreciate someone more familiar looking it over, making sure it's idiomatic, and otherwise giving me pointers for writing it up as a proper PR. Possibly this goes in conjunction with #315.

Hey @ohAitch would you mind making separate issues for what you've found?

We can definitely help with the example host, but maybe not so much with the wasmtime C API support (wasmtime is the best place for those kinds of questions). That said, if you have working code, if you make a PR we can certainly iterate on it together!

We're happy to work with you on your contribution to each of these issue, sounds like you've done most of the work to improve the situation and we just have to help refine the PR.
