Issues

• self_check pages source and target under each key column's own collation, so differing collations report false divergences

  bug

• Aggregate group tables bloat badly under paged drains (240 MB for 4k rows in one run)

  enhancement

• Ledger Apply's upd step scans the whole ledger while statistics lag autoanalyze (pin its plan, as #738 did for GC)

• Make ledger updates HOT-eligible and cut ledger WAL, to recover D-A5's 400-group miss

  enhancement
salesforce-misc/trellis#775 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• Ledger edge cases from the D9 review: uncollected placeholder entries, a 1-1 truncate with no lsn, and the truncate/insert lsn ordering

  bug
salesforce-misc/trellis#774 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• A collation change on a text source key during a chunked build may make the remaining chunks miss or repeat rows

  bug
salesforce-misc/trellis#769 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• Trellis's typed copies of key and passthrough columns don't widen with the source (int→bigint, varchar(n) widening), so the first wider value fails its writes

salesforce-misc/trellis#767 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• Set row_security = off on Trellis connections so filtered reads raise instead of silently dropping rows?

  Requires Design Decision
salesforce-misc/trellis#766 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• To-one projection ordering holes left after #762: refresh update half, and guard (d) passing with no row

  bug
salesforce-misc/trellis#763 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• Post-define ALTER COLUMN TYPE/COLLATE on join, key or GROUP BY columns isn't re-validated (char(n) join keys, nondeterministic collations)

• Quarantined keys' parked work is never released in production (release_key is test-only; resume_transform leaves poison/poison_held)

salesforce-misc/trellis#759 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 4, 2026

• No concurrent generative tier catches the lsn_only_skip plant (validation gap)

salesforce-misc/trellis#734 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 2, 2026

• table_has_reader counts a not-yet-started Re-derive definition, so a discharge can enumerate a table into the ring for no reader

  bug
salesforce-misc/trellis#732 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 2, 2026

• Partitioned merges make a one-worker Re-derive build ~19% slower (merge several locked partitions per statement)

salesforce-misc/trellis#730 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Oct 2, 2026

• Re-derive build at 100M misses #625's exit bar: 2,423 s to live, 78 µs/row, 23 seal refusals

• Concurrent tier baseline diverges on relationship-fed aggregates (old aggregate path keeps a group the oracle drops)

  bug

• Discharge orphan sweep takes ledger entry locks out of key order across cursor batches (deadlock with Apply pages)

• Resume re-runs define-time validation against the current schema before rebuilding

salesforce-misc/trellis#708 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Sep 30, 2026

• Missed capture: a capture trigger disabled, dropped or bypassed loses writes silently, and the pass repairs it without pausing anyone (false-positive study first)

salesforce-misc/trellis#707 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Sep 30, 2026

• Capture misses a column dropped and re-added, retyped, or rewritten in place, and a drain before the pass misreads a redefined primary key (false-positive study first)

• Ledger recompute of MIN/MAX-style fields re-reads every entry of each touched group: hot groups get increasingly expensive

  enhancement
salesforce-misc/trellis#698 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Sep 30, 2026

• A field alias shadowing a source column nests aggregates, and the definition's build retries forever

  bug
salesforce-misc/trellis#695 · Filter by author mmmries opened on Sep 30, 2026

• Capture-switch follow-ups: show capture waits on edited definitions, keep RESUME from unpausing a field awaiting capture, release the staging session on setup failure
