Open Poll

Open Poll is a web application for creating and sharing temporary polls without an account. Polls and votes are stored in Supabase, and clients can receive live result updates through Supabase Realtime.

The implementation uses a browser fingerprint to limit repeated votes for a poll. Database cleanup and rate limits depend on the configured migrations and scheduled jobs.

Run locally

npm install
npm run dev

Create the environment values expected by the application before using a connected database. The exact schema and policies live in supabase/.

Verify a change

npm run lint
npm run build
npm test

Check the server actions, database policies, and expiration job together when changing poll creation, voting, or administration. A local UI run without Supabase configuration does not prove the connected production flow.
