Description
Angular 22 is now available (as of June 2026), so we should upgrade our User Interface (currently running Angular 20) to the latest version. If an upgrade to Angular 22 is complicated, then we should minimally upgrade to Angular 21 (released in Nov 2025)
As part of the upgrade, we should also investigate whether it's easy to backport any Angular upgrade to DSpace 10.x and/or 9.x. For the Angular 20 upgrade in DSpace 10.0, we found the upgrade could be backported to 9.x. This may not always be possible, but it's worth keeping in mind.
Resources:
Tentatively scheduling for 11.0, but this needs a volunteer to investigate the complexity of this upgrade.
