Note: This may be old contradictory information in Cloudsmith Documentation.
I am getting " Error: No such command 'files'." Now!
“RAW file support is not available on the Core (Free) Plan.”
https://docs.cloudsmith.com/formats/raw-repository
Cloudsmith changed their policy:
Raw repositories are not allowed for open‑source distribution.
Open‑source packages must use one of the open formats Cloudsmith supports.
For OpenCPN plugins, the correct choice is: Cloudsmith Format: Files
This format is explicitly supported for open‑source and is intended for arbitrary binary artifacts such as:
- .tar.gz plugin bundles
- .xml metadata files
- Any other non-language-specific assets
This is the direct successor to Raw for open‑source use.
Your CI/CD (CircleCI → Cloudsmith) should upload:
- climatology_pi‑.tar.gz
- climatology_pi‑.xml
Both as Files packages.
Cloudsmith will accept both under the same version.
Cloudsmith CLI
- cloudsmith push files OWNER/REPOSITORY PACKAGE_FILE --version VERSION
- cloudsmith push files opencpn/plugins climatology_pi-1.4.32.tar.gz --version 1.4.32
- cloudsmith push files opencpn/plugins climatology_pi-1.4.32.xml --version 1.4.32
Usage inside a Config.yml "job"
- cloudsmith_upload:
build_dir: "$PWD/artifacts/linux/package"
version: "<< pipeline.parameters.plugin_version >>"
