I've found this repo to be quite helpful. The reason I came here was to ask about if there were alternatives to the type overloading being used... However, it appears to be a dead repo / unmaintaned? Are there any maintained async alternatives? Cheers

Check out https://github.com/Bluetooth-Devices/dbus-fast - it appears maintained and with compatible (or at least very similar) API.
