MSc in Numerical Simulations · Santiago, Chile (open to remote)
Born to dream, made to work.
I write code in Rust, Python and TypeScript, and I got to software the slow way, from construction engineering in Chillán and a camera on my shoulder in Ñuble to a master's in numerical simulations. In my own time, with my own hands, I build tools for the public good and give them away for free, not because I have time or money to spare, but out of conviction. Why? Because good software is not a luxury good, it is infrastructure, and infrastructure belongs to people.
- Scientific and numerical computing. Simulation engines, signal processing, performance work where the math has to be right and the runtime has to be small.
- Full-stack web. TypeScript front to back when the job needs a face people can actually use.
- Civic tech. Software that holds the State to its own standards, like security and compliance tools for Chilean municipalities.
Stack: Rust · Python · TypeScript · Polars · numerical simulation · scientific computing · full-stack
- MaskOps: high-speed PII masking as a Polars plugin, with the heavy lifting in Rust. Privacy that does not cost you your throughput.
- MuniGPT: a cybersecurity compliance scanner and an offline legal assistant, written in Rust, that audits Chilean public agencies against Law 21.663 without sending a byte off the machine. The law set the bar. This checks who clears it.
- Keel: a deterministic, open-source Python engine that mixes finished stems and masters them to an exact LUFS target. Same input, same master, every time.
- port-scanner: my first real project, an infrastructure recon and exploitation framework for authorized pentesting, built by hand copy-pasting with an early AI coding assistant before I moved to agentic coding. Still the one I'm proudest of, for where it started.
- SKPFORGE: a SketchUp-to-Unreal-Engine-5 asset pipeline in Rust. Repairs geometry, retopologizes to quads, fixes tiling and lightmap UVs, bakes, and exports glTF. Models go in broken, they come out ready to ship.
I'm looking for engineering roles, remote-friendly, where the work means something. If you build things that serve people, let's talk.

The great avenues are not going to open on their own. We'll program them.
