Two findings from OpenAI's plugin review of mcp.runpod.io/directory:

  1. pod-action: "appears to execute operations that are not individually exposed. Please expose each model-callable operation upfront as a separate tool."
    • /directory now serves start-pod, stop-pod and restart-pod (src/specgen/tools/pod-transitions.ts). Each takes only the Pod id and wraps pod-action with the transition fixed. Terminate is already delete-pod.
    • Annotations: start-pod is a non-destructive write; stop-pod and restart-pod are destructive (they interrupt work and wipe the container disk, per the concept graph's container-disk.what-survives rule).
    • pod-action is classified out of /directory with its reason. The default surface (/) still serves pod-action and doesn't get the new tools.
  2. update-template: "marked destructiveHint: false, but its behavior appears to cause material loss or a hard-to-reverse change."
    • destructiveHint: true via the generator config, with the reason inline: it overwrites the image, env, registry and container settings and can make a private template public. This applies to both profiles. The annotation test row is updated.

Tests: the classification test now covers both profiles, because directory-only tools exist. A new test pins the three Pod tools and their hints and checks that pod-action is absent. 517/523 pass; the 6 failures are the pre-existing findClaudeBinary ones that also fail on main.

The third finding ("server instructions need further review") is a human-review note, not an error; the /directory instructions are factual with no directives.

OpenAI's plugin review flagged pod-action for running operations that are
not exposed as tools, and update-template for overwriting settings while
marked non-destructive. /directory now serves start-pod, stop-pod and
restart-pod (terminate is delete-pod); the default surface keeps
pod-action. update-template is destructive in both profiles.
