Root Cause

The Polar Startup Program record is already present in entities/po/polar.yaml and accurately reflects the public program terms. The only contributor-guide gap is that the Entity is missing the profile.summary field that CONTRIBUTING marks as required for machine admission.

Key Changes

• entities/po/polar.yaml: added a concise profile.summary (under 240 characters) describing Polar as a merchant-of-record billing platform for software, SaaS and AI products. No program facts, IDs, offers, eligibility, or economics were altered.

Verification

• Confirmed the file already contains the exact program terms from https://polar.sh/startup-program: Scale plan free for 12 months (standard price $400/mo), 3.40% + $0.30 transaction fees, prioritized support and a dedicated Slack channel.
• Verified YAML remains valid with the added field and that all existing IDs, source references and role closures are unchanged.
• The repository's sourcey/validation and sourcey/admission checks will validate the record shape and cited source facts on the pull request.
