feat(workbuddy): publish CN and AI editions as separate providers - #928
WorkBuddy used to merge the China and AI editions into a single limits row that preferred the China result whenever both were signed in, hiding the AI edition's quota entirely. Each signed-in edition now publishes its own provider row (workbuddy / workbuddyAi) with its own visibility toggle, and both render the desktop app's two-window shape:
Plan window — the subscription plan's base credits on the plan cycle (CycleEndTime reset).
Resource-package window — one pooled window for every non-plan credit group (plan_bonus + addon + benefit), no reset (those grants have no shared cycle). Summaries that predate CreditGroups fall back to pooling every package row that cannot be the subscription plan.
An exhausted plan (total > 0) stays visible at 100% used; an empty 0/0 pool yields no window. Groups that omit CycleRemainCapacity contribute total - used to the pooled remaining; groups that omit CycleUsedCapacity contribute total - remain to the pooled usage; a pool reporting total but no usage stays hidden; overflowing sums never publish non-finite windows.
Migration: an explicitly stored workbuddyAi preference wins; otherwise the AI row inherits the unified-era workbuddy toggle. Identical semantics on dashboard (use-limits-display-prefs) and macOS (LimitsSettingsStore).
selectWorkbuddyLimits (the old merge helper) is kept and exported for cloud mirrors only; no live caller remains in this repo.
The English label intentionally differs across surfaces ("Add-on Credits" on the dashboard vs "Add-on" in the menu bar), mirroring the shipped qoder precedent.

Each edition also gains a credit-pack secondary window next to its plan
window, pooling every non-plan_base credit group from CreditGroups
(plan grants, purchased packs, platform rewards) with no reset time.
Empty 0/0 pools are not rendered, and summaries from older app versions
fall back to pooling all non-plan package rows.
Covered across the backend aggregator, the dashboard provider specs and
panel, the macOS menu bar app, zh/zh-TW copy, docs, and the workbuddy
test suites.
docs/plans/ is gitignored and this was its last tracked file. The
feature itself ships in src/lib/star-cta.js; the document remains in
history at 6b3a671.
The local usage response now keeps WorkBuddy China and WorkBuddy AI as separate providers. Each edition can expose a plan window and a pooled non-plan resource window. Native and dashboard clients display the separate providers and their limit windows.

Summary
Pooled resource windows src/lib/workbuddy-limits.js, TokenTrackerBar/TokenTrackerBar/Models/UsageLimits.swift, test/workbuddy-limits.test.js, docs/workbuddy-limits.md
WorkBuddy limits add a secondary window for pooled non-plan credits. The pool uses quantified non-plan credit groups, or eligible package rows when credit groups are absent. Tests cover empty, invalid, and partially measured pools.
Separate provider records src/lib/usage-limits.js, TokenTrackerBar/TokenTrackerBar/Models/UsageLimits.swift, test/workbuddy-ipc.test.js
The aggregate response includes separate WorkBuddy and WorkBuddy AI records. Provider checks and response rewriting retain both records.
Provider identity and visibility TokenTrackerBar/TokenTrackerBar/Models/LimitsSettingsStore.swift, TokenTrackerBar/TokenTrackerBarTests/LimitsSettingsStoreTests.swift, dashboard/src/lib/limits-providers.js, dashboard/src/hooks/use-limits-display-prefs.js, dashboard/src/hooks/use-limits-display-prefs.test.js, docs/workbuddy-limits.md
WorkBuddy AI has separate order and visibility settings. An explicit AI visibility value is preserved; when it is absent, the WorkBuddy value is inherited.
The clients add WorkBuddy AI provider labels and displays. The dashboard and macOS use the add-on label for the pooled window. The macOS display omits WorkBuddy windows with zero credits.

A resource pool mixing one group that reports CycleUsedCapacity with
one that reports only CycleRemainCapacity under-counted usage: the
remain-only group contributed 0 to pool.used, so e.g. 100/100 used plus
10/50 used displayed as 10/150 instead of 110/150. Derive the missing
usage from the capacity identity (total - remain), matching the
derivation planWindow already applies to the plan row, and apply the
same rule to the pre-CreditGroups package-row fallback.
The live API observed on 2026-10-30 always reports all three capacity
fields on every group (including zeroed rows), so this is hardening for
older or variant summaries rather than a fix for current payloads;
well-formed summaries take the identical code path.
